History!

The Kingdom of Irj's prophet sat at a table and held her clawed hands over a glowing orb.  "In five years a female who is mostly human, partly demon, with ink colored eyes and steel colored hair will be born who is pure as snow but has an evil as sin itself inside of her.  She will bring great wealth and power to the ruler of Irj as she becomes a woman, but at the cost of her sanity."  The headstrong King didn't care much for those unless they were being useful to him, and in five years, Faerhlsm was born to a local warlock and priestess.  At the start of the year Fae was born the King had mentioned any female born in the next twelve months would be inspected carefully.  Faerhlsm was the only one who fit the physical description that the prophet had given, and he took her from her parents, having them removed from her life in the most permanent way before her eyes.  The babe watched them slain and sat in the King's arms, ink colored hues taking it all in with an unsuspecting gaze.  The King called her Faerhlsm because that is what he said her mother garbled out as she laid dying, and it was a fitting enough name for the whelp.

The King brought Faerhlsm to the castle and raised her as a sort of pet.  He allowed her to dress as she wanted, go where she wanted, study if she wished, but... she was not allowed out of the castle.  She was often by the King and others see her as a pet, although she has made two wonderful friends in her time there.  A magician she calls Toffee who allows her to watch his tricks when he is not scheduled to perform and an entertainer called Dirk who can change their appearance with a simple wave of their hand.  She has two treasures she holds dearly from both of them, a woven bracelet from Toffee that she wears on her left ankle and a silver heart shaped locket from Dirk that she refuses to remove.

In the years of growing up, Faerhlsm was named the Kingdom Dreamer.  She spends most of her time sitting in window seats, staring at the sky, or down in a garden, burying her nose in a book.  She's friendly, soft spoken, and dreams of love.  ...However, she cannot find anyone that is right for her.  She will wander through the castle grounds, stopping to watch the knights train, observe the wizards practicing, or bother the librarian and butler should she be able to track them down.  The entire staff sees her as a palace pet and will give her a treat before sending her on her way.  The King's sons, daughters, and wife all treat her as if she's no better than a cat, but she doesn't even notice their snide smirks or calculating eyes.  To her, they are her family, the ones who saved her.  She still has no idea about where she came from or who her parents were, but she knows that there is a prophecy about her having great power and bringing wealth to the ruler of Irj.  Feeling indebted to the King for raising her, she'd like to repay him, but is finding that a bit hard to do since she can't give him anything!

Twenty three now, the King is starting to get irritated that his pet has not brought him his promised wealth or power!  He knows she has to lose her sanity now that she is a woman, but... how?  He has started to invite those who are often called mad, insane, torturers, assassins, dark wizards... Anyone he thinks will corrupt her and make her go insane.  There is some sort of magic inside of her, but as to what that is he wouldn't be able to know!

Faerhlsm is inclined to follow around those who are prone to evil, but her innocent and trusting disposition often makes them wary and they leave her there.  But one day, someone truly evil will corrupt her and destroy her, unlocking whatever power the prophecy spoke of and bringing the ruler of Irj, whoever it is at the time, ultimate riches and powers.

The Quarters!

When Fae has a person come to try and corrupt her, the King lets them have their own quarters where she will live with the man intending to fulfill the prophecy.  Down three flights of stairs, behind a series of thick wooden doors to dull all noises, it is under the castle and has its own staff who reside there when there is a new guest.

Main Room:
Red walls, plush black carpet, two large couches, a couple small tables for feet and drinks, a set of shelves near the main door.  Three doors lead to other rooms, plus the one that leads into the room.   Decorations include swords, knives, whips, and other weapons hanging on the walls.

Left Room:
A small dark closet, most likely for punishments or holding things.

Back Room:
The dining area.  Medium sized wooden table, three chairs.  Fairly dark, but lots of candle holders.  Servants from the kitchen down the hall from the main door can come in from a small door in the corner of this room to bring food.  It locks from the outside, so they cannot get into the main quarters.

Right Room:
Bedroom.  Black carpet, red walls, a bed large enough for four adults with black blankets, silken curtains from the posts of crimson and ebony.  Two other doors lead off from this room.  One is a normal closet filled with general pain inflicting things, such as whips, riding crops, silken rope, and blindfolds.

Side Room:
Off from the bedroom, the second door is a small experimental lab, torture chamber, and office.  All three things are combined with a large desk covered in books, papers, with shelves above it, a rack for holding people, chains bolted to the wall, and a table with varying bowls, pedestals, herbs, and flasks for experimenting.  Needles are around, more ropes, but there is room for whatever is needed.
